Dear SDS America,
First, please allow me to express my sincere congratulations on your 10Th Anniversary.
SDS America started on 1997 by consolidating IT Services of subsidiary divisions into IT Center in North America.
Since then, with series of reform and renovation, ITO service has been expanded to 17 affiliated corporate and we are expecting 63 million dollar revenue at the end of year 2007.
This advancement is much more than just quantitative measure.
We have achieved significant growth in quality of our service by improving customer service, implementing ITSM, imposing Six Sigma methodology, etc.
Today, we still find challenges ahead of us due to continuous increase of customer expectations and desire of cost-effectiveness.
However, our customers, especially, Samsung Electronics' overseas revenue is at 87%, giving prominence to Global Operations.
It is needless to say that our role will become much more important.
In the year of 2005, SDS announced its vision to become one of Top 10 Global IT Service enterprise by the year if 2010.
Many are working hard to achieve this goal by strengthening current businesses but also discovering new business ideas.
There have been various successful cases with EO business on the lead.
For example, even though you've heard about this already, we have formed strategic alliance with Capgemini in France.
Through this alliance, we have laid groundwork for our goal of providing global capabilities and leadership.
Moreover, EO business has advanced to MPS(Managed Printing Service) business by making MOU contract with Electronics' printing division.
And also joined with PRTM for Master Plan Consulting Project which is first step in Samsung Electronics' bigger project in implementing next generation PLM.
Ever since, we have made notable accomplishments in the areas like barren land, and with this foundation, we continue to work together toward greater development and improvement.
There are many efforts also in overseas as well as in Korea.
Some examples of such efforts are transformation of Sales Order Desk into BPO(Business Process Outsourcing) in Europe, and STA's revenue simulation for new models in North America.
As we make more successful cases one by one, and perform with professional minds, I firmly believe that SDS America will achieve its goal of 130 million revenue, and 13 million profits.
Recently, you probably heard the word 'global' a lot from headquarter. Hereafter, the boundary between domestic and overseas will vanish.
Seamless Global Operations such as Global ERP, Global One Center etc. in which domestic and overseas work together as one will be brought together.
In order for us to leap toward becoming global corporation, it is extremely important for headquarters and subsidiaries to support and cooperate with each other.
Your participation and initiatives will contribute to this opportunity.
Once again, congratulations on 10 Th anniversary of SDS America, headquarter will provide full support for SDS America to accomplish its vision of 2010.
