Salt Lake City, Utah (November 15)
To help manage the assets of the bridges and sidewalks infrastructure, Samsung SDS America has developed for release the first version of the uniSIDEWALK and uniBRIDGE modules.
uniSIDEWALK is a sidewalk management system, which includes sidewalk and bikeway area of the public right-of-way. The system was established to identify damaged concrete and unsafe conditions located within the sidewalk network, and to make recommendations on how to make the network reasonably safe for pedestrians through accurate maintenance/budget analysis.
uniBRIDGE is used to record, maintain, and update a complete inventory of bridges to meet National Bridge Inspection (NBI) standards. uniBRIDGE helps the user to accurately evaluate the bridge maintenance needs in an area. The bridge data can be analyzed in an interactive GIS maps with graphic images.
The system is compatible with any bridge management system in the market. Existing data can be easily entered or loaded into uniBRIDGE. New inventory items or reports can be added on the fly as needed.
This software was designed specifically to help cities, counties and states to maintain current information about their asset inventories. This information will help them when applying for federal grants for maintenance and repairs. This software can also be an essential analytical tool when planning budgets based on available funding and on business strategies of each customer. Graph analysis of future deterioration, total amount spent and expected maintenance types are some of the features available with the software.
